- What are the USPS size requirements for EDDM flat cards?
- EDDM flat cards must be at least 3.5″ × 6.25″ with a maximum of 12″ × 15″. Thickness must be between 0.007″ and 0.75″, and the aspect ratio (length÷height) must fall between 1.3 and 2.5. Every EDDM template in this library is built to these specifications. Current postage is $0.247 per piece at the EDDM Retail rate.
- Do these templates include bleed areas and safety margins?
- Yes. Every template includes a 1/8″ (0.125″) bleed area on all four sides, a cut line, and a 1/8″–1/4″ safety margin inside the live area to protect critical content from trimming. These match the bleed and safety specifications required by commercial printing presses.
- How do I choose the right postage class for my mailpiece size?
- Standard postcards (3.5″×5″ through 6″×9″) qualify for First-Class or Marketing Mail postcard rates. Flat-size pieces (6.5″×9″ and larger) mail at Marketing Mail flat or EDDM saturation rates. - What software can I use to customize these PDF templates?
