West Hurley Fire Department

New members to the West Hurley Fire Department wished to do a fire district appeal mailing, but it was determined that having a functional website with a donation page would be a “first-things-first” requirement. Before any work on the website or the appeal mailing, we initially helped get the WHFD approved to mail at USP not-for-profit rates using our online instructions (link: https://crst.net/non-profit-mailing-application/). Then, WHFD selected a WordPress template and provided content. Some of the content required copyediting and additional descriptive review. Using a PayPal WordPress plugin, a donation page was added to the finalized website (link: https://westhurleyfire.org/donate/) The data was sourced from both CRST’s internally filtered NYS real property data with name/address secondary verification from Board of Election information. The appeal mailing was a simple 8 ½” x 11” full color appeal letter with a #6 ¾ remittance envelope into a 2-color #10 reg. envelope, mailed at USPS non-profit letter-rate postage rates.
